Join us on Sunday 7 July at 3pm in St Edburg’s Church for our Film Music Gala Concert, featuring Bicester Concert Band and Five Acres School Choir. Tickets £5 available on the door

The Christmas Concert, held in St Edburg’s Church, was shared with the OYAP Youth Theatre. The programme included both Christmas music (with some audience participation) and other popular pieces. All played under the ably-waved baton of the band director, Wendy Marks.

Despite various band members having been smitten by the Covid contagion during the term, sufficient forces were gathered in St Edburg’s Church, Bicester to produce a full programme of pieces, including (with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in mind) William Walton’s Crown Imperial and a selection of well known themes from James Bond, Thunderbirds, John Williams…

The day was sunny and warm – ideal for the Friends of Island Pond Wood who had organised a day of activities and provided an opportunity for the band to assemble and play a varied selection of light music.
